Chair Ari
Description
Ari is perhaps Arne Norell’s most famous armchair. Its unique design was awarded the “Showpiece of the year” award in 1973 by the British Furniture Manufacturers. In addition to the visuals, Ari offers very good seating comfort. Each armchair is made by hand with great care at our factory in Småland, entirely according to Arne Norell’s original drawings. The standard version is in black leather, Elmo Rustical, but Ari is also produced in other leathers and colors. Even the straps are then made of the same leather, reinforced with a spacer. The steel frame is delivered in matt or shiny chrome.

Upholstery leather
Upholstery leather is the soft and thin leather used on the cushions of the furniture. You can order free leather samples by contacting us at info@norellfurniture.com. Each leather displayed below can be used on all our models. It is not limited to the model in the photo.

Support leather / Strap leather
Support- / strap leather is the thicker leather that is used for making straps, armrests and other details on models such as Ari, Ilona, Inca and Sirocco. On the Ari chair you also have the option to dress your straps with the same upholstery leather used on the cushion to make a perfect color match between the cushion and the straps.
